A terraced Mediterranean spa garden made for entertaining near Bath
The outside dining space uses the same stone paving as the nearby conservatory, ensuring a seamless transition between inside and outside – ideal for flinging open the doors on balmy summer days.
As a keen swimmer who also loves hosting, our client’s brief at this manor house near Bath was to create multiple spaces for entertaining family and friends. Wide, welcoming steps, perfect for summer parties, lead to lounge terraces around the pool where once was a sloped lawn, while a new dining area makes the most of far-reaching valley views.
We used Mediterranean planting such as olive trees and lavender throughout and softened a tall boundary wall with Italian cypresses and climbers to enhance that holiday feel.
