It was great to see some of our most recent bathroom projects featured in the latest issue of Bath Life, out today.
BUCKING THE TREND
It’s the new year so we often are turning our minds to what changes we might make.
In this month’s Bath Magazine, our Creative Director questions the need to follow fashion when it comes to those very changes in the home.

A SEASON FOR GIVING
We’re delighted to have raised over £3,000 for homeless charity, Julian House, over the last 12 months, thanks to the kind donation of clients and friends for our taking part in the Big Bath Sleep Out. We decided against sending Christmas cards again this year, instead giving the money we would have spent on cards and postage to Julian House’s Christmas Appeal. The charity provides life-saving support to hundreds of individuals and families across the South West – which is often even more needed at this time of year – and you can find out more, or make a donation, here.
PRODUCT OF THE MONTH
Two pieces which never fail to bring us joy, whenever we lay eyes on them, are these etched glass Burbulla vases.
The gorgeous green blue hue is instantly uplifting, and the iridescent quality created by layering coloured glass, before engraving with fine lines, make them the perfect talking-point additions to any room. Simply beautiful as objets d’art or filled with your favourite blooms.
Available from our showroom on Bathwick Hill.
EARTHLY PLEASURES
Nick absolutely loved researching the history of Sydney Gardens, one of the country’s few surviving Georgian pleasure gardens, in his regular garden design column in Bath Life.
But what an exciting future Bath’s oldest park has too.The space is currently undergoing a transformative restoration programme that will see key historic features returned to their former glory, the creation of brand-new facilities and improved habitats for wildlife.
For more on this far-reaching project, check out the latest issue of Bath Life, out today.
THE POWER OF HOME
John joined forces with our good friend Jess Lloyd-Smith of Modern Art Buyer yesterday evening for a talk at Bath’s new co-working café, Cassia, on Bath’s Riverside. The sell-out ‘From Cocoon to Castle’ event was a chance for design devotees and novices alike to get tips on everything from where to buy new art, how to manage colour in your interiors, and most importantly, how to be authentically you in your scheme! The big takeaways from the night were to be brave in approaching decoration, and that above all else, it’s so important to connect emotionally and really love your home. If you’d like to come to the next one, keep an eye on our social channels for any upcoming events in the pipeline.
AWARD WINNERS!
We’ve just won a thing. A Bath Life Award thing, to be precise, and we’re totally thrilled about it.
After a difficult 18 months for everyone, we dusted off our suits and donned our glad rags for a wonderful evening at the Bath Pavilion last month. It was great to be at a glam event again and even better to gain recognition for our amazing team when our name was called as the winner of the Homes and Interiors category.

A SECRET SOMERSET GARDEN
Nick recently visited the gardens of Batcombe House for his latest Bath Life article, out today. Landscape designer Libby Russell has spent the last 17 years developing her Somerset garden of two distinct halves, filling it with year-round colour and cultivating a sense of calm and joy. If you’re in need of some garden inspiration, there’s an NGS open day on Saturday 19th June, from 2 – 6pm, complete with cream tea refreshments. If you get the chance to go, it’s going to look amazing then! You can book ahead, here.

WE’RE FINALISTS!
We’re delighted to have been shortlisted as finalists in the Homes & Interiors category in this year’s Bath Life Awards. When we looked back at the last 12 months, we realised just how much we’ve grown as a business – both personally and professionally – and are really proud of the way our team has navigated the pandemic to date. It’s a tough category, with some long-standing and much-loved local businesses on the shortlist, so keep your fingers crossed for us on 9th September!
