We were delighted today to spot our Mind the Gap wallpaper on one of five covers, for Bath Life magazine’s big 15th anniversary issue, which also included an interiors feature asking local interior designers about the looks they love. John contributed his thoughts on everything from influential designers of the moment to new-season colour palettes, which, if you missed the issue, you can read about, here.
Inspired interiors
We’re not the only ones honing in on the new season’s fiery palette if our team’s recent trips to Maison et Objet, Paris, 100% Design and Decorex are anything to go by. The stand-out colours felt really autumnal, with shades of ochre, sand, rust, terracotta and olive green taking centre stage. Pink is also still high on the agenda for AW18 and we loved the idea of layering block colours, such as setting a green velvet sofa against a green wall. We noticed a return to opulence with a continued shift to warmer metal tones, particularly gold; trimmings and fringes were seen on everything from lampshades to cushions and sofas; and furniture has continued to embrace all things art deco, especially when it comes to chairs. The team came back inspired and full of new ideas.
