Each project is exciting and challenging in its own way but this brief was extra good fun. Having completed several design projects in their main residence, our clients asked for our help to develop an old stable in the grounds to create a ‘Party Barn’ for large family gatherings. We set out to design a versatile entertainment space that was as comfortable for four dinner guests as a room full of excited grandchildren! AV and lighting design were important elements in the overall scheme to help make the space atmospheric during the evening. We used a combination of smart but durable fabrics and relaxed but contemporary furniture to soften the space. We played to the building’s heritage with reclaimed lighting and natural oak references. The colour scheme was inspired by the landscape beyond the barn and tracked through to the large circular deck, sofas and planting on the terrace too.
“Through your creativity you have brought elements into our home that we could never have imagined. Suggestions and the supply of products that we had no idea existed have been very exciting and brought us into the 21st century! However, alongside your talents as designers I must thank you for your patience, good humour and ability to help us to achieve brilliant results. We can’t wait for the next project!”
